Guest House Santa Brigida is a b&b located in Naples in the Piazza Plebiscito area, in the old town centre of the city in the Campania region. The majestic space, which stretches for approximately 25 thousand square metres, between the seafront and Via Toledo, is one of the largest Italian squares and the site of major public demonstrations. From an architectural point of view, the square is divided into two distinct parts: the first is at the foot of the Basilica of San Francesco di Paola and it is semi-circular in shape, while the second part is rectangular and is delimited by the façade of the Royal Palace (Palazzo Reale). In the part of the square facing the basilica, there are two equestrian statues of Charles III of Bourbon (founder of the Bourbon dynasty) and his son Ferdinand I, both made by the famous sculptor Antonio Canova.
Staying in a b&b in the Piazza Plebiscito area, allows you to experience the unique atmosphere of Naples to the full. In fact, the square is located in the immediate vicinity of some of the best-know Neapolitan monuments: from Castel Nuovo, the castle better known as the Maschio Angioino, to the castle of Castel dell'Ovo, from the Carthusian monastery of San Martino to the Castel Sant'Elmo castle and from the Royal Palace (Palazzo Reale) to Galleria Umberto I, all easy to get to on foot in just a few minutes. In the district, there are also the famous shopping streets, Via Toledo and Via Chiaia above all, with boutiques selling products made in Italy and the antique shops.
A short distance from the Guest House Santa Brigida you will also encounter the Molo Beverello, the town's tourist port and point of embarkation to the main destinations in the area: the Islands of the Gulf of Naples (Capri, Ischia and Procida), the Aeolian Islands (Lipari, Panarea, Salina, Vulcano and Stromboli), Sorrento, Ponza and other localities in Sardinia and Sicily. Near the Molo Beverello there is also the funicular railway train stop of Piazzetta Augusteo, which takes you to the Vomero hill in just a few minutes.
